The genome sequence and gene prediction of Rasamsonia byssochlamydoides NRRL 3658 have not been determined by the Joint Genome Institute (JGI), but were downloaded from CSFG on July 31, 2022. In order to allow comparative analyses with other fungal genomes sequenced by the JGI, a copy of this genome is incorporated into Mycocosm. Please note that this copy of the genome is not automatically updated. JGI tools were used to automatically annotate predicted proteins.

Rasamsonia byssochlamydoides (Paecilomyces byssochlamydoides) is a truly thermophilic fungus with growth range between 34-50 ºC and optimal range between 40-45 ºC (1,2). It belongs to the Trichocomaceae family. The genome of R. byssochlamydoides will provide valuable information on thermostable enzymes and allow comparison in the Trichocomaceae family and with other thermophilic fungi.
