• Searching in KEGG

You can search for enzymes in KEGG by Enzyme Commission (EC) number or by keyword. The results allow you to view information about predicted genes related to a given enzyme.

To search by EC number:

1. Select "EC Number" from theSearch Options menu.
2. Type the number (e.g.,1.3.3.4) in theEC field.
3. ClickSubmit.

To search by keyword:

1. Select "Keyword" from theSearch Options menu.
2. Type the query word (e.g.,protoporphyrin) in the unlabeled field to the right of the Search Options menu.
3. ClickSubmit.
