Status
v.1.0 (May 22, 2006): The assembly release version 1.0 of whole genome shotgun reads was constructed with the JGI assembler, Jazz, using paired end sequencing reads at a coverage of 9.9X. After trimming for vector and quality, 665,327 reads assembled into 665 scaffolds totaling 64.9 MB. Roughly half of the genome is contained in 21 scaffolds all at least 785 KB in length.
The current draft release, version 1.0, includes a total of 20,614 gene models predicted and functionally annotated using the JGI annotation pipeline and integrated with gene models from UGent, Belgium.
Annotated ESTs and tentative consensus transcript sequences are available at INRA Laccaria DB.
