Status
[December 2019] The Phycomyces blakesleeanus UBC21 v2.0 genome was sequenced with PacBio, assembled with Falcon, and annotated with the JGI Annotation Pipeline. Mitochondrial genome was assembled separately and is available in the downloads section. As UBC21 is very closely related to NRRL 1555 (Phybl2), when predicted gene models were nearly identical to those from NRRL 1555, manual curations were carried over to UBC21 models to maximize details on gene function. A track of models from NRRL 1555 and their locations in UBC21 are also available on the genome browser.
