The Trichoderma sp. strain AM6 was isolated from surface sterile roots of Camellia sinensis and cultivated on PDA (Potato Dextrose Agar) plates. The optimum growth temperature of the strain is 28 ºC. Based on the internal transcribed spacer sequence (NCBI ACCESSION OM915414) the strain has been identified as as member of genus Trichoderma.
