Clustering

From the Clusters tab in an organism portal, you can browse gene families that include gene models from this organism. Sets of clusters, referred to as a runs, have been pre-computed for groups of related organisms by the JGI Annotation team based on protein sequence homology. Please note that the Clusters tab is not available for all organisms.

The Clustering tool is organized as follows:

1. On the Clusters front page , you find clusters of interest by using gene search and cardinality filters.

2. After selecting a cluster you visit the Cluster Details page, where you can exploring the genes in an individual cluster.

3. For some clusters you can also use examine a species-reconciled phylogenetic tree of genes in the cluster.
