The genome sequence and gene prediction of Colletotrichum chlorophyti NTL11 have not been determined by the Joint Genome Institute (JGI), but were provided by Ken Shirasu at the RIKEN Center for Sustainable Resource Science. In order to allow comparative analyses with other fungal genomes sequenced by the JGI, a copy of this genome is incorporated into Mycocosm. Please note that this copy of the genome is not maintained by Ken Shirasu and is therefore not automatically updated. JGI tools were used to automatically annotate predicted proteins.
Members of the genus Colletotrichum are a diverse group of commercially significant plant pathogenic fungi that can be subdivided into species complexes, consisting of closely related species that share similar pathogenic lifestyles as well as singleton species that do not belong to any of the described major species complexes. C. chlorophyti is a singleton species that shows significant diversity from other members of the major species complexes, and is a pathogen of herbaceous crops such as legumes, tomato and soybean.
